4 Family Reunion Ideas

So you've sent out all the invitations and have planned out all the food now all you need are a few things to do for fun. The guests at your family reunion party are going to be the toughest critics you've ever hosted; they're family. It comes naturally, but it just means that you better start thinking of fun family reunion ideas. It is one thing to put together all the invitations and cook the food, but it is a whole other job to plan the activities.

Every fun family reunion has a party minded host or hostess behind it. There are plenty of games that can be played at parties both indoors and out. The key is to have games for all ages. Don't leave out the kids or they will be screaming, and you better not forget about the older crowd or they will be throwing a fit. Here are few fun family reunion ideas:

1. Horseshoes: Labor intensive, but the adult crowd loves it and everyone knows how to play.

2. Cards: Cards can be played by the young as well as the old, and the best part is an unlimited amount of people can play at one time.

3. Wiffle ball: Wiffle ball is so much fun, but is usually limited to the fit/adult crowd. The kids tend to get in the way, and the older folks just don't have the mobility.

So what about evening entertainment?

4. A good idea is to have a Jigsaw Puzzle out for people to work on during evening conversation. It's actually a great ice breaker and gets family members of all ages to interact with one another. You can take this idea a step further by having a custom made "This is our Family" Photo Collage Puzzle made up from a selected set of family photos. This is a nice way to include all family members from the youngest to the oldest and create a lovely family reunion reminder and keepsake. As family reunion ideas go, this one is pretty cool and a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Everyone will want to take a look and work on the puzzle.
